Egyptians are very interested in the desserts in their cuisine. Normally, we can’t skip having either a cup of Egyptian tea or a piece of Egyptian dessert after each meal we have. Mandarine Kouider offers an excellent taste of oriental desserts with premium quality.
Mandarine Kouider has very good ice cream, tarts, western and European desserts, but what makes it so special to me is the oriental section. I can simply find almost 95% of all Egyptian desserts in the shop. The hungry giant inside of me wakes up by the smell of the desserts here!
Kunafa and Basbousa dishes are the specialties of Mandarine Kouider, as they have many types and flavors. I love getting a dish of Konafa there, which is made with long, thin strands of shredded dough and usually fried or baked with butter/oil until it's crispy. It guards a layer of molten cheese and is dressed by pistachio.
Mandarine Kouider usually has a crowded dining area, but I keep visiting the place anyway and buying Uthamneleah Konafa every now and then from that shop specifically.
