Finding a suitable place for drinking coffee with my friends after a long working day or a dramatic movie at the cinema has been one of the most important issues for me, especially since many of my friends are coffee addicts. Fortunately, three years ago, I discovered Simonds, which has become our favorite place for these friendly or even romantic meetings.
I was totally surprised when I found that Simonds is more than 120 years old and was established on July 19th 1898. Now it has 4 branches in Downtown, Mohandseen, Zamalek and Sheikh Zayed. In my opinion, it’s a perfect place for reading or working and has oriental music. My favorite branches are in Downtown and Zamalek. I strongly recommend any one of them.
Simonds is well-known for its fresh pastries and cakes. Moreover, I really love their oriental sweets, especially during Ramadan -- they are very proud of their Danish and it is considered to be the best in Egypt.
The friendly and polite staff at Simonds is really one of their remarkable points and they're right on the high level of this historical place.
I never miss a chance to have a cup of hot chocolate or cappuccino here.
