QuesaBirria Jalisco Tacos is one of the best taco spots in Chicago. Ventura Orozco runs the restaurant in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago, which is predominantly a Latino community.
As the host of my own food tours, I love bringing guests here and indulging in these taco flavor explosions. While you can find some of the best Mexican food in Chicago in Pilsen, QuesaBirria Jalisco Tacos is unique in that they were the first place in the city to serve quesabirria tacos.
Birria tacos are deep-fried and served with consommé, a savory broth for dipping. They originate from the Mexican state of Jalisco, where the owner’s family of QuesaBirria Jalisco Tacos is from.
Orozco began making quesabirria tacos using his aunt’s recipe from Mexico and is now serving them to the Chicago community with enormous success. The quesabirria tacos are a flavour explosion in your mouth — try them for yourself on your next trip to Pilsen, Chicago!
