Moldeco is a family-owned shop, and I love it. It has saved me so many times by helping me find just the right present for my family and friends.
Their main business is framing of painting and pictures, but in the last years it developed in so much more. It became the go-to place if you want to find art and pieces of local designers. Locally made jewelry, paintings of Moldovan artists, cute little boxes, frames, T-shirts, books, dolls, and other stuff - all locally designed.
I like spending some time in this shop, as there is always so much to find and discover.
Even, if you do not need to buy anything, it is a great place to visit for understanding more about our culture, and especially how it is redesigned and reinterpreted by our local artists.
In the photo, the frame is from Moldeco and the painting is made by local artist, Mihai Ungureanu (instagram), whose artworks can also be found at Moldeco.
Moldeco has two locations, one smaller shop in the city center, and the main shop in Rascani region, which is 15 min by car/bus from the city center. Make sure to check their website or facebook for both addresses.
