Are you also fascinated by the idea of getting rid of all your stuff, just getting along with the bare essentials and living in a tiny house? Two friends of mine have made this dream come true and recently moved to the campsite in Cologne's district of Poll. Now they live directly by the Rhine and watch the ships pass by all day. The campsite with old-established permanent campers is planned to co-exist with a tiny house settlement within the next few years.
If you are interested in the tiny house movement, want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city for a while and also want to have some tasty snacks and drinks, then Café Uferglück im Wiesenhaus is a good idea for an afternoon out!
The café offers breakfast as well as homemade waffles (sweet and savoury). It is up to you to sit inside or to find a beautiful spot on the terrace or on the large tree-lined meadow overlooking the river.
Do you need accommodation in Cologne? You can also book a tiny house for your overnight stay. I really want to sleep there on my next staycation.
