Welcome to kitchen lovers' paradise! Just like its Dutch example, this big shop, the "Kölner Kochhaus", which is the first one in Germany, offers everything chefs and passionate cooks need. You will find tools, pots, crockery but also plenty of nice international cookbooks.
In comparison to one of their stores in Rotterdam ("Kookpunt") which is 4,000 square meters big and along a whole street, this one in Cologne seems to be pretty small but even then: if you can get excited for everything to do with cooking and eating you will spend hours browsing through the good and wide range of products on three floors. Just like I did when I was actually just looking for a special cookie cutter that I needed for a catering job the other day. Although I didn't find that one here I bought really nice red-white striped yarn and my birthday wish-list definitely got longer.
