Tuesdays and Fridays are market days in Sülz. Apart from the good opportunity to buy fresh fruits and vegetables, flowers or even clothes or household items, the market on Auerbachplatz is one of the few places in our gentrified neighborhood that has changed little over the last decades and where you can still hear people chatting with a Cologne dialect. I love it and I feel very much at home here!
Another good reason to drop by the market is to have an outdoor coffee in nice company. Whether summer or winter, sunshine or rain: Alex and his coffee trailer are waiting for you! And by the first sip of your delicious cappuccino you can start enjoying the moment. Stand at one of the temporary bar tables, listen to the sounds of the market or chat with Alex or your fellow coffee drinkers. You may perhaps notice that Alex has a large client and "fan" community - especially among the female market visitors. Anyway, this spot is very sociable and I always leave in a good mood.
PS: On Wednesdays and Saturdays you can actually find Alex at the market on the Klettenberggürtel.
