"Hidden" literally in plain sight there is this tiny museum-like association of the local history of Christianshavn. It is located in the most central street of Amager, and one of the longest ones in Copenhagen, known by three different names starting from the city center all the way to the airport, Amagerbrogade.
Open every Saturday for only two hours during the day, provided that it is not a holiday, you can visit it for free and see many artifacts, maps, books, paintings, sculptures and videos of the area of Christianshavn, almost from the beginning of times to this day. There is also some free documentation to take home, but you can buy local souvenirs to support the association if you wish.
Everyone is very friendly, so since everything is written in Danish, if you need help, they will be happy to assist! It is true, though, that it could be much better arranged, for everything to be visible and readable. The space is quite small and not very comfortable to move around. Fun fact: The building was moved a few meters brick by brick back in the day, for the main street of Amagerbrogade to actually be constructed!
