I have heard screaming, I have heard crying and I have heard despair. One month ago, the local go-to candy megastore was closed down due to renovation and refurbishment. Candy store or not, this is a serious matter. NamNam Slik is a huge store with one very simple and easy concept: candy! In this store you can pick and choose, mix your own candy and go on adventure in all the colours and tastes of the land that is candy. From sour to sweet to soft to hard, whatever your heart desires, you’ll probably find it NamNam Slik. As there are many bazaars with fruits, vegetables and exotic foods, there is an equal number of candy stores in the northwest neighbourhood here in Copenhagen. I know from close and reliable sources that people have travelled across Copenhagen just to go to NamNam Slik.
One thing is for sure, you know what you have in common with your fellow shoppers in this particular store: hunger for sugar. If you don’t have a sweet tooth like me, you can always come here and combine it with a trip to Mix Bazar and other bazaars, bakeries and cafés in the area!
