What's better than watching football on the screen with your mates, having a big cold beer in front of you and a world-class warm steak & cheese pie with mashed potatoes and green peas on the side smelling and looking amazing - and I'm not even done yet - while sitting in an authentic small pub that's just oozing of British temper and the informal service of the bartender that we all know so well? Huh?Â
I was struggling to find a proper pub to watch football in Copenhagen to be honest. I mean, there are plenty of bars around that show different matches during weekends and Champions League, but I was so fortunate to find this little pearl right here.Â
This is a pub of my taste for sure. I loved it right away and it's still my top favorite place to watch the match of the day.
The bar doesn't have specific roots to any specific club, which actually makes the atmosphere more loose and comfortable. Don't get me wrong, I love to watch my own team kick ass in Copenhagen's official Manchester United bar, Den Glade Gris, but this is different. If it's not that high-volume and somewhat narrow-minded hardcore fan culture you are looking for on a standard Saturday afternoon, then this pub is definitely the one.
Come for pubquiz or a match or just a beer? Either way, it's a very nice stay.
And for the record: the pies are amazing!
