Amelie’s Wohnzimmer, literally her "living room", is a cosy and lovely little place in the heart of Sachsenhausen. While the team serves coffee, fresh homemade cakes and even other small dishes, breakfast is my favorite here... and breakfast is served until 17:00! I like the choices they offer and enjoy the fact that time stands still when you enter the „living room“. The breakfast is not innovative, but just because of that it’s fun and so charmingly old-fashioned, I normally go for one of the old school choices. "Nothing special" makes Amelie’s very special and beyond the chase and speed for upcoming new trends.
Looks like people spend long mornings here, meeting with friends for a chat, read or work or simply pause before they start off into the rest of their day.
The service is very friendly and attentive, keeps looking after you and comes back with little extras if required. My friends brought their dog and it was pampered with a bowl of water and a small slice of sausage as a special treat! Nice!
Lovely atmosphere and no excuse, as it’s really always on the way when you stroll along Sachsenhausen and the Brückenviertel.
