One of my best friends and I went to the movies in Bockenheim the other day and he told me about this secret little place a friend of a friend had discovered.

When we walked in we could not stop saying how nice and different it was. I was taken by the entrance to this secret gem. You would miss it if you did not know it was hidden away like in the book "The Secret Garden". Walk into the courtyard, take the stairs down to the former blacksmith's workshop and enjoy the cosy atmosphere with the fireplace in winter or the beautiful green patio at the back in summer.

The Weinkontor is an amazing place to go for a glass of wine with friends before going to the movies at Orfeo's Erben. I love the fact that they offer around 50 wines by the glass. This way you can pick and try more than once. Along with the wines have one of the inexpensive nibbles. On offer are snacks like tarte flambée, bruschetta, or hummus.

I celebrated my 30th birthday here. The interior is very homely. It has this feel-good factor that makes me want to return all the time.
