Germans love their Schrebergarten (garden colonies) and obviously we love Indian food.
I have no idea how this exotic little bit of authentic India landed in a place like this, right in the middle of German Schrebergärten behind the sewage treatment plant in Niederrad, but don't be scared, it's wunderbar and a hidden gem!
The decor and design is a weird mix of German Gemütlichkeit and Indian pictures and decoration items and probably no one could have deliberately invented or designed anything like this. But trust me, the food, tastes, varieties and dishes could not be be more Indian.
I love the different Thali Platters with an excellent variety of vegetables and curries with minced yogurt and rice and my all time favorite is the Punjabi Kadhi - try it!
I've been a couple of times and have taken a group of colleagues once, which the service team took great care off. Delicious food for a reasonable, low price.
They have another place in Ostend in a hotel and also do home deliveries. I'm planning to go for their very affordable lunch special soon.
