Lotte Studio in the basement of the new Libertine Hotel in the center of Old Sachsenhausen is a recording studio which has introduced the charming habit of opening their recording sessions to the public - a truly special and unique opportunity in Frankfurt.
The various artists are carefully selected, sometimes just a singer with his instrument, sometimes bands and groups. The concert dates are published on the home page and on social media, but they normally won’t be able to fit in more than 30 or so guests
I have been to different recordings and sessions, all of them were superb and I got to know some musicians and bands I never knew before.
As the sessions are recorded, everything is about the studio, timings are not exhaustive and just for orientation. So, relax about the schedules, order and grab a drink from the bar of the Libertine Hotel and make yourself comfortable on the one only bench under the window, stretch out on the corniche under the window itself, or simply sit on the carpet close to the musicians. The concert may start late and anytime, but it will be worth the wait and special experience, promise!
By the way, if you’re into a bit more luxury: the concerts are also transmitted into the rooms of Libertine Hotel live! So, another option is to book a room for the night and enjoy the music in your bed or bathtub! (I think that’s on my bucket list now that I write this!)
