Hop off the subway or tram in Willy-Brandt Platz and head towards the river. You will easily find the bridge "UntermainbrĂŒcke", west to which the Nizza (German word for Nice, the French city) city park's domains extend for about 1 km. Walk down the stairs and get ready to "leave" the city behind.
A micro-climate is created by the location of the park, together with sandstone walls and the protection from the river. All these factors combined allow for a Mediterranean-like flora to thrive, making this tiny piece of land a real get-away. Palm trees, fig trees, lemon trees... who could expect such a scenario in the middle of Frankfurt?
If you are a nature lover, Nizza is really an area you cannot miss. Take advantage of the fresh air and go there for a jog, a bit of yoga, or even a simple walk.
By the end of it, you will be feeling like you're in the French Riviera. Relaxed and refreshed!
