I love the Bahnhofsviertel (check the Bahnhofsviertel article) and got to know it by parties at the Pik Dame. The first time I went, somebody told me about someone who had once heard from someone ...and then I went and had a fantastic night.
You need to join the Facebook group to be invited for the parties. The topics vary from carnival themes to Valentine's parties.
The Pik was opened in 1963 and has gone through various phases in the Red Light District.
The red lamps, small sofa corners with tiny lamps and merry-go-round horses at the bar have stayed though and add to the dim and plushy and wicked ambiance.
Another event to experience the "lady" and the district's atmosphere is the Pik Sonntag. Once a month this mix of cabaret, magic, dance shows and live music takes place with varying artists.
I like the uniqueness of the evenings spent here.
