Ask most people living in Frankfurt where you shall go for a pizza, and the answer you are the most likely to hear is: Pizzeria Da Cimino!
Pizzeria Da Cimino has quite a reputation, and for the right reasons! It is one of those places that are always boiling with people coming and going, pizzaioli japing at one another and a constant smell of oven-baked delicacies. If you are looking for a calm meal, this is not the place for you! Pizzeria Da Cimino is one of those informal places that have the gift of bringing people from all backgrounds together. And the pizza? Well, it sure is one of the best in town, especially if you are into a thin crust.
The ingredients are always fresh, and even in its busiest days, amidst a healthy amount of chaos, they manage to keep quality at its usual height. Other dishes are available though - several kinds of pasta, salads and desserts. They're all very well made and at a very fair price. The pizza with spinach is my favourite, but to be honest, I have never been disappointed with anything I order there.
Pizzeria Da Cimino is a perfect place for a casual lunch, a Summer night pizza on a terrace or a night out stomach-filler. So if you are a pizza fan, be sure not to miss this Bockenheim gem.
