There are several good markets in Frankfurt, but the thing is that Frankfurters manage to make an event out of all of them.
One option is to spend Friday's after work drinks at the Schillermarkt on the Schillergasse, near the Börsenplatz with lots of bankers. It is a smallish farmer's market in the pedestrian lane near the Frankfurt stock exchange. Not only the nice buildings, the proximity to the city, but especially the relaxed feeling makes the market a nice place for after-work drinks and snacks. There are many well dressed people and pearl earrings, but maybe this even makes an evening at the market in front of the Börse so different - the mix of people and characters.
It takes place from 09:00 till 18:30 every Friday. For people whose office is close to the Schillergasse, it is a fabulous spot to have a lunch date and snack around before going back to work.
At this market when the booths close people either head on towards the bars around the centre or walk to the Friedberger Market.
I really like meeting different friends at the market. Everyone can ask someone to join and we always end up as one big group spending the night.
