I’m not much of a shopper, but if I was looking for a good gift or new clothes I would stick to the streets of Wallstrasse & Brückenstrasse. Probably one of the more hip parts of Sachsenhausen, there’s a wide variety of stores on these two perpendicular streets to keep you busy.
This is also the second-hand shop capital of Frankfurt where you have the option of buying everything from old records to carefully selected clothing. There’s plenty of craft boutiques as well which are bound to have more alternative souvenirs.
It would be easy to spend half a day here grabbing lunch at one of the sandwich or arancini shops, going through the second-hand shops, maybe finishing the day with an ice cream at the organic gelato café (pictured) or off in old Sachsenhausen (about 50m away) in one of the apple wine bars.
Just keep in mind that stores in Germany are always closed on Sunday, and on these streets usually Monday as well. Otherwise, in this area, you’ll be good to go!
