Céline et Sébastien is a dreamland for those who love pastries. It wouldn't be fair to live in Geneva and not have a cute bakery, right? I am here with the right spot for this.
Neatly tucked away on Rue des Eaux-vives (and two other locations), Céline et Sébastien is that place where you can see locals idle away with hot tea and gossip. Colourful and yummy small eats keep them company, so why not?
Their display is almost always filled with an excellent and vibrant collection of fresh pastries every morning. From using seasonal fruits to the classics like eclairs and tarts, they have something for everyone. The cost is around 3.50 to 4 CHF per piece to start with. Or, if you are that office-goer who wants to grab a quick sandwich or a salad to go, they have those too!
The ladies at the counter are absolutely delightful, helping you with suggestions. Bonus points if you exercise your (broken) French with them. Endless patience, I say.
It is definitely one of those places I go regularly, because there is always something new to try. Now, be careful there as you will go into "just see" and end up walking out with a bit of sugar high and a really happy palate.
My current favourites: Chocolate-covered candied oranges (I think they are the best I've tasted in Geneva — so fresh, tender, and juicy), and a tart made of fresh figs.

Oh Martine! is one of those spots where anything you order ends up being good. A little birdy also tells me they have the best Cannelés in town!
