Brewhaus is a West End pub that's been through a few revamps and reincarnations. The pub itself, an old church building, is best known as the venue for the infamous glass over the balcony scene in the cult Scottish movie Trainspotting.
On the surface, it's a no-nonsense pub with a good burger and pizza menu, cocktails in abundance and decent beers on tap.
It comes into its own when the weather is good and you can hang in the brilliant beer garden, with loads of seating, heated 'sheds' and canine company as it's a super dog-friendly pub.
Although in the west end it is in a quiet out of the way doit, 5 minutes walk from the Kibble Palace Botanic gardens and the Kelvin Walkway, there's a big student accommodation complex nearby which means it's always a lively wee place. It's also a great venue for watching all sports on the many screens, but not too raucous, and well run.
