If you are looking for a nice, cold English beer in a relaxed, down to earth, original atmosphere, KEMP's English Pub is a great place to visit. The two owners Tina and Gibbo always have a joke on their lips and greet you with a big smile when you enter their pub. As they're originally from England you will usually see a lot of English speaking guests seeking an authentic pub. The walls are covered with old Beatles posters, vinyls and – of course – the Queen. With the old, comfortable wooden furniture, the carpet and the little dogs, which will play around in the pub every once in a while, the cozy, homey atmosphere is completed. KEMP's also serves tasty, English food, often with a hint of the Asian kitchen, which is prepared by Gibbo in the small kitchen.
But the best time to visit is Thursday evening – around 21:00 the pub usually turns into a stage for great singer/songwriters. It is so much fun to listen to wonderful music (or even sing along with all the other guests) and enjoy the atmosphere of an original, relaxed English pub. Sometimes they also offer live music on other days, just check out their Facebook page for current events.
But beware – since the pub is so popular, especially on Thursdays you might want to make reservations if you want to make sure to get a table.
