Hietalahti Port is the new must-visit place for all foodies and people who want to enjoy the city of Helsinki at its best. The romantic industrial harbor environment is a perfect place to spend the day. You can walk to Hietalahti Port from Helsinki city center in just around 15 minutes.
Hietalahdenranta bay features many interesting places to visit and experience. Clarion Hotel Helsinki has an amazing rooftop bar and even an indoor swimming pool. Hietalahti Market Hall and flea market are interesting places to visit for some shopping, eating or snacking. SaunaBoat or White Sand Boat summer cafe with their white sand and palm trees are also some of the most interesting places to visit while there. SaunaBoat requires advanced booking but for sure is worth experiencing.
I really recommend trying out the fresh salads at the Ravintolalaiva Verna restaurant boat, the traditional Louisiana-style dish Gumbo at MS Louisiana or the most legendary salmon soup at Restaurant Merimakasiini.
