Löyly is a very Finnish spot and at the same time it’s not. Löyly – opened up early in the summer of 2016 – is known as the Helsinki Sauna since the project kicked off. What makes Löyly non-Finnish is the feeling you get chilling out on the sun deck, sipping a cocktail and sun bathing.
Löyly is a diverse place of experiences. Löyly features, of course, a spectacular sauna open for everyone. There’s a regular sauna and a smoke one. During your sauna session you can go and take a dip in the sea or just breathe in the sea breeze at the terrace. Unlike other saunas you need to wear a swim suit in the sauna. For small groups it is possible to rent out a small private sauna as well.
There’s a restaurant and bar at Löyly but to get the most out of the sauna experience it is possible to order a Finnish beer and sauna sausage to enjoy while having a break from the heat of the sauna. Löyly is definitely a must for all of the locals and visitors in Helsinki.
