Again I'm writing about one of my favorite bars in Kallio. Somehow Om'Pu always makes me think of the times when I had just started studying at the university and went to Om'Pu with my new friends. It's not really a student bar though, the customers are of all ages and backgrounds, which is why I still continue to go there. Somehow the decoration also takes me back to the years of 2007-2008, and in a good way.
On the warm, red walls of Om'Pu is usually a changing exhibition of different artists. And in addition to being a bar and a gallery, there are also occasional concerts and DJs. Usually the music's really good, too, so quite often when I'm planning to just pop in for a cheap glass of red wine I end up staying the whole night.
Om'Pu is relatively big compared to many other bars in Kallio, so usually there is always some room left. Which is a nice feature, as especially during the weekends Kallio's bars tend to be quite crowded.
