Wanha Kaarle is definitely one of my favorite shop windows in Kallio, or maybe in the whole Helsinki. When walking by, I always stay for a good while to take a look at all the delightful and colorful retro dishes and toys in and around the windows. The shop is not easy to miss, as the windows and door are surrounded by crazy, colorful towers composed of all kinds of toys and furniture.
When you go inside you can see that the shop is just as full as it looks from the outside, it is totally stuffed with all kinds of retro stuff you can imagine. It is a shame that basically I can't buy any new cups or plates, my cupboards are already too full...otherwise I would like to buy all the cute coffee cups and lovely jugs they're selling. But it is a good place to look for presents for retro-loving friends and family. And luckily for me I can at least enjoy the windows!
