""The Solidarity Sculpture" is a bronze structure inspired by the drawings of Abidin Dino, a very innovate Turkish painter. It's one of Istanbul's beauties."

On the 8th of May 1993 this sculpture was erected. The sculptor is Yunus TonkuÅŸ. It's a bronze structure inspired by the drawings of Abidin Dino. Dino was one of the most innovative Turkish painters and his artistry has a unique touch. As you can see in this sculpture, which is 2.90 meters tall with hands and finger figures which are an abbreviation for solidarity.

For years this sculpture was left alone on its own but recently it has been cleaned. Now it shows its beauty in the middle of a crossroad in Maçka. I would recommend all art lovers to visit this sculpture and experience the beauty it bears.

Unfortunately there are no information plaques so have a few reads before you go see it.
