Kadıköy is my favourite spot not only on the Asian Side but also in Istanbul. Besides the fact that it's very close to my home, Kadıköy has many satisfactory spots. Viktor Levi is one of them. Actually, it is like a hidden gem in Kadiköy. It is situated in the Moda neighborhood, in an Ottoman, partly wooden building. It has a comfortably spacious inner side and also a lovely garden part.
Actually, the founder of Wine House was a Jew, and it was founded in 1914. It is one of the oldest surviving wine houses, even though it's not in its original location and not with its founder's family. But still, it's a good spot.
I like going to Viktor Levi when I need to drink good wine at a worthwhile price. They serve local and imported wine varieties. My favorites are the Viktor Levi No:60 from the red wines and the Viktor Levi No:60 from their selection of white wines. Anyway, before you choose your wine, I suggest you first take some advice from the waiter and taste it.
