There are more than 1,500 streets in Ljubljana and I find many of them adorable as I hope you will too. Yet there are 15 of them that are sliiiightly more interesting than the rest. Now, before you turn on your judgy "how-can-she-say-that-and-why-only-fifteen" mode, let me explain. These chosen streets have two names: the official ones and the other ones that were given to them by Danish collective hello!earth back in 2014. There would be no fun if I told you the location of them all, so I will give you a headstart by giving you three clues that will help you with your treasure "street" hunt.
CLUE no. 1: They have been equipped with a new street sign that looks EXACTLY like the old one – and this is maybe the easiest way to recognise them.
CLUE no. 2: They are all located in the Tabor city quarter. Artists didn't just take random streets and give them random names. They collected information from locals in this district of Ljubljana before deciding on a name. And how peculiar these names are!
CLUE no. 3: The photo already gives away one street that has been recognised as "The perfect street to talk to strangers". Since I'm feeling extra kind today, I'll tell you about another one quite close by, originally named Kastelčeva street, which is apparently also a "street that will be very interesting in the future". Finding the rest is up to you! Good luck.
