Naming your bar 'The Book Club' may seem like an odd choice, but this hip venue in East London is no ordinary venue. By day plenty of local media types (and a few hipsters) use The Book Club as a place to plug in their laptops and have a coffee or sneak a fruity cocktail (so far, so typical of East London bars, right?).
However there's plenty more The Book Club offers to its visitors. There's a full social calendar so that nearly every evening there is something to entertain even the most jaded hipster - blues gigs, art exhibitions, movies screenings and even speed dating are some of what one can expect when the sun goes down (keep an eye out for the 'Dance-a-long' screenings of films). If you are feeling a bit more active and sporty, the ping-pong table should keep your competitive spirit occupied.
The darker winter evenings are a perfect excuse to grab a cocktail at your local 'book club'.
