It's one of my favorite places to have lunch and I'll tell you why. Their food is very tasty and they have the best ingredients (everything is organic). The place is divided into two: "La Cantina" and the restaurant. I am more a fan of the cantina because it is a bit faster and the menu for lunch always has delicious options that include an entree, a main course, bread, a drink (which can be a coke, wine or water) and a dessert -- among my highlights I'd include their wonderful cakes or the succulent yogurt with real honey.
It's located on a very nice square, "La Plaza Olavide" in the neighborhood of Chamberí and from Mama Campo you have a view of the fountain and the trees that surround the square, so you feel surrounded by nature. During summer, they have a terrace to cool off from the heat of Madrid. I usually come once a week and I don't get bored. I really recommend it.
If you want to eat at home or remember your grandmother's recipes, you don't have to watch Ratatouille: come to Mama Campo and you will leave happy with a full belly and a happy heart.
Each plate tells a story, celebrating the rich gastronomic history of Spain while introducing innovative culinary twists that will tantalize your palate.
