About me
I am from beautiful Vancouver, Canada, but am now an English teacher in Spain. I have been a passionate solo traveler for nearly two decades and love everything food, art, and travel related. I also enjoy photography and writing about my travels. Nothing brings me more joy than to wander around a new city meeting people and embracing the local culture. It has brought so much to my life to step out of my comfort zone and experience all of the wonderful things the world has to offer. I have traveled throughout North America, Europe, and parts of the Middle East and there are still so many places on my list, especially now that my Spanish is getting better every day! I have loved everywhere I have been, but my most memorable adventures have been walking the Camino de Santiago and visiting Iran.
Why Madrid?
Having lived in Spain on and off since 2019, I am now settled in Madrid and I couldn't be happier. For a large, capital city - one of the loveliest capital cities, in my opinion - Madrid has been a comfortable place to be from the moment I arrived here. It's full of kind and friendly people who focus on enjoying life. There is always something exciting to do here. The city is full of incredible museums, theatre, music, and dance. I am never bored! Madrid is also a very easy city to get around in, but I particularly love to walk. Why not, since there are blue skies for most of the year! I love just wandering around and finding hidden corners and new places to go. I'm so excited to share all of the places I love in gorgeous Madrid!

Everything is so flavourful and tasty! It’s difficult not to always eat the same things I know and love so I try to get something different every time I go.
