Café Jesusbaren brings a piece of Spain into the middle of Malmö's hip neighbourhood Möllan. Entering this café takes you instantly away from the gray and gloomy Sweden. The vibe is very homemade and DIY, and I feel like I'm in someone's living room when visiting the place. This café could also be a backdrop from a Pedro Almodóvar movie.
I like the place for its relaxed ambiance and service - Café Jesusbaren is not to place a visit in a rush. You could spend hours just observing the decoration and all the little details on the walls.
Café Jesusbaren is a spot for good coffee, tasty sandwiches and a nice variety of cakes and pastries. I've seen pasta on the menu as well.
And why the name, you might be wondering. Well, it's quite obvious: the café is located next to a park called Jesusparken. The park is a perfect spot for having a summertime picnic, so grab a tasty takeaway from the café and have a siesta in the park.
