This little gem has been hiding away from me for a while. Because of the pandemic, I wouldn't spend much time around university buildings, so I completely missed the existence of this place. It is tucked away very strategically between the Niagara building and the Orkanen library. The café is not very spacious but it has some seats outside for the nice sunny days in Malmo.
When you get to the counter, you face some difficult choices. Many different cakes, muffins, salads, and sandwiches. They also have fantastic Fika offers - this is something everyone in Sweden has at least once or twice a day: a little break for tea or coffee accompanied by some sweet pastry. The prices are shockingly low in comparison to any of the other places in the immediate vicinity.
I discovered this place when most of the classes were still happening online. I can imagine this place is busy during the academic year when everyone is around. Good news is, you can order online as well :).
During my last visit, I tried a chocolate muffin and I wasn't disappointed. If you're in Malmo this could be a perfect place for a little break away from the hustle and bustle of the city even though the central station is only a 5-minute walk away.
