We already know what popular culture says about the drive-ins: it is the ideal place for a first date. But Autocinema Coyote is not only that. The only drive-in movie theatre in Mexico City, decorated like in the 1950s, it takes us back to the time of John Travolta and Grease. It is a completely unique option to watch movies not only with your date, but also with family or friends.
Classic and new films are projected digitally in this spot, and from time to time they make special midnight projections where the film is a surprise. It may sound risky, but the reality is that it is worth the experience of being in your car with your little speaker and food service.
The cafeteria offers popcorn, chips, hamburgers, hot dogs, nachos, ice creams, candies and the typical '50s milkshake.
You have the option to sit in the chairs that are out there, a perfect option in case you do not have a car. Undoubtedly, this is one of my favorite spots in the city, an exceptional way to see cult movies.
Autocinema Coyote has two locations:Â check them here.
