Churrería El Moro Mexico City – The best churros in town
One of the things that you have to eat while in Mexico City are the fried pieces of heaven called churros. You will find this delicious Spanish heritage being sold in the streets but none of them will taste as good as the ones made at Churrería El Moro.
This place was opened by a Spanish family that had left its country due to the Civil War in 1935, and since then it in has survived earthquakes and fires which is why it is not only one of the most traditional restaurants of Centro Histórico but also the oldest churrería in the city.
At El Moro you will find the best churros in town as well as a great variety of hot chocolate. My favorite is chocolate mexicano which is the type of hot chocolate that we usually drink in the city – milk-based, sweet, and light. Due to their great success, they have other branches in different parts of the city, but I strongly suggest you visit the one at Centro Histórico as its traditional environment is unparalleled.
