El Beneficio definitely competes for being one of my favorite places in Mexico City.
A nice and cozy place to enjoy the day and the personality of the neighborhood, Coyoacan. The interior bench with cushions and the flowers on the tables give it a homey touch.
The food menu is delicious and very diverse. Just keep in mind that El Beneficio certainly leans towards a slow-food concept so try to go when you have some time for waiting. Trust me when I say it is really worth it.
It is not hard to notice that the staff is always smiling and just showing how happy they are by being there. Delicious coffee, free Wi-Fi, a pet-friendly environment and a great service portray exactly the kind of family business it is.
Without a doubt, it is one of the most adorable corners in Coyoacan. Don’t forget to do some stalking at the cake display cabinet, it is breathtaking.
