As you may have (or will) noticed during your stay in Mexico City, you can always find a vegan/vegetarian option to satisfy your cravings. Nonetheless, there are days when you want a break from local food and that is fine! Luckily, Mexico City has an abundant variety to please everyone. What makes V-Ramen special is their cuisine's inclusivity. Their menu is divided in two: vegan and non-vegan. It is a perfect place to visit when you are craving Japanese food (especially ramen) and you are either vegan or accompanied by someone who eats plant-based. V-Ramen proves –as well as other great vegan restaurants in the city– that a plant-based diet does not mean you need to miss out on delicious food.
On your first visit to V-Ramen, I strongly recommend ordering the "sampling" menu. It includes a little bit of everything (a small portion of ramen, onigiris, tofu skewers and tea or water). I personally prefer to accompany my food with a mineral Calpis (a popular Japanese soft drink).
Pro-tip: Ramen is 2x1 on Mondays.
