El Traspatio is a casual and chill place in the middle of Colonia Roma. The atmosphere here is magical – it feels like you’re sitting outdoors, even though you are indoors. The whole place is surrounded by trees and plants, plus the music complements the restaurant very well. It’s this authentic backyard vibe that I really enjoy.

It can be a little hard to find it because the entrance is not really visible, but once you visit, you won’t want to leave. The place is really popular for its cocktails and its extensive mezcal offering. I’ve heard that the “Aguacate” cocktail is the one to try although I haven’t had a chance to try it yet.

The place offers amazing vegan and vegetarian options and they have great salads and burgers, however, they mainly focus on bbq and grilled dishes. Definitely, one of the best secret spots in the neighborhood to visit day or night.
