Pantera Fresca is an ice pop shop with different locations in the city. I love this place because of their unique flavors and their variety. In Mexico we call the ice pops- “paletas heladas”.
Some of the flavors they offer are Mexican flavors that if you aren’t in Mexico you would not be able to try. Here are some of my recommendations of unique and authentic flavors: Zapote fruit, mamey fruit, cajeta, chocolate abuelita, tamarind and lime with gummy bears. But the most popular popsicle is the “conejo en la luna” – it is an ice cream base with a chocolate bunny inside.
This place usually escapes the eye of travelers because it’s pretty simple and unassuming and would be easy to pass up. Most of the shops are super little, so try using Google Maps to get there.
These popsicles are such a great Mexican treat for a hot day discovering Mexico City and the prices are so super-affordable you can have one every day :).
