There’s nothing better to do during the weekends than to visit a local entrepreneur market. These marketplaces, commonly known as Bazars are weekend-only events that feature a wide variety of products.
Doméstico is a house-restaurant located at Condesa neighborhood that features a different bazar each weekend. Interestingly, if you were to visit Doméstico every weekend, chances are you would find very different products every time.
In bazars I have found really cool products such as honey-based shampoo (mind you, it smells incredible!), nut-based brownies, and bunny sneakers to treat my inner kid. For me, apart from the great job these entrepreneurs are doing, bazars are the perfect place to make friends. Since they are really passionate about the core of their businesses, if you share that interest, you will surely have an amazing time sharing tips and tricks with them!
Recently, Mexicans have been working on shifting their consumption trends in order to keep local production going and experiencing the great quality of national products, so these events are becoming more common and interesting as time goes by.
Along the different products sold, bazars offer fun activities, such as small adoption centers in which you can walk a shelter dog for a while and take him home if you like, gigs with local artists and art expositions.
If you happen to see a bazar announced near you, give it a try! Surely you will find a great product and will be supporting the dreams of an entrepreneur with your purchase!
