If you are too tired of walking around, shopping or having too many aperitivos, then the place to go is Terme Milano. Honestly, I wouldn’t have expected to find a place like this one in the city.
Housed in an amazing building from the 1800s (originally built as a deposit station for the horse drawn trams and later serving as a base for one of the most important dancing schools of the city), this elaborate spa is simply gorgeous!
It consists of indoor and outdoor facilities. Outdoor you will find a relaxing green area, different types of warm water whirlpools and…the world’s only tram converted into a sauna.
Inside you will find a maze of water-based spa activities, saunas, steam baths, a salt room, themed relaxation rooms and a beautiful ‘health buffet’ room where you can sit down and grab a healthy bite and a tea before you continue indulging.
The Terme organizes various events (Aperitivo in the evenings, gourmet specials, afternoon tea, etc.).
The place is so good that if I could afford coming here every day, I would.
The price tag seems steep before you go but it ‘feels’ cheap when you leave completely relaxed and with a refreshed body and soul.
