In almost 15 years of activity, Circolo Magnolia has made it to the top list of Milan’s best music entertainment venues.
Magnolia is located just outside the city limits, close to the Linate airport and Idroscalo, Milan’s water basin that makes summer heat feel a little more tolerable. Don’t get bummed, though, in fact you can reach Magnolia quite easily from the city centre by bus and you will be glad you did.
Magnolia is the home of very famous indie rock/ heavy outdoor festivals that take place in the summer (albeit in a different form, now), and some of the best music events and dancing nights both on the indoor stage and in the outdoor tent. You need to have an Arci affiliation card to get in September to June, but during the summer the events are usually free of that charge. The drinks at Magnolia are good and affordable; in the summer you can relax under the trees and also order pizzas, burgers and a number of veggie delicacies from the outdoor restaurant.
Not only is Magnolia a green music venue because of its location in the middle of a grove, but mainly because one of its missions is to go green, for good: Magnolia is powered by solar panel energy and makes constant efforts at being eco-friendly.
Everyone is welcome at Magnolia, with the exception of racists, sexists, homophobes & jerks. See why Magnolia would be Milan’s perfect soundtrack for when it will start raining frogs?
