This used to be the kind of place you would pass by during the day and you wouldn't notice. No more. It has gotten a huge revamp, making it bigger and slicker. Things start stirring up around 19:00 when the Milanese begin dropping by for an aperitivo, which costs around € 7 for a cocktail (including very good finger food).
The biggest draw of Chinese Box - the location. Corso Garibaldi is one of the key spots in the city and there is constant traffic of people walking by. So, during the early weekday evenings or during the late Friday and Saturday eves, the Chinese Box turns into a prime stage for people watching. And don't forget we are in Milan and people watching is the favourite sport of the locals. Spend a couple of hours with a drink in hand at the 'terrace' of the Chinese Box and you will understand why.
Tip - grab a drink and mingle outside with the pretentious people from the established bar across the street that have the same drink as you only that you paid € 7 for yours and they paid double.
