On the university side, in the center of Milan, not far from Duomo, there's a lovely place in the middle of a hidden corner - a little bar called Colibrì. Inside you will find not just a bar but also a small bookshop with friendly and young shop assistants always ready to meet all of your wishes, even in the English language.
The atmosphere is really amazing, and, as it's located next to the humanistic faculties, most of the customers are young students, and you can feel that young and university vibe. The bar organizes events outside frequently, mostly during the summer evenings, and even events indoors, like book reviews and literary club meetings. Therefore, it's not a touristy place, it's a spot where you can feel the vibe of Milano with its best and most vital inhabitants, the young intellectual students. Inside you can have a drink, and I would suggest taking an aperitivo with Spritz, and they will bring so much food with it. Check it out!
