When I decide to have dinner out, I usually opt for those specialties that are difficult to prepare at home, such as raw fish, which also happens to be one of my favorite options.
I really thought I knew raw fish quite well - then I had my first dinner at ‘Cruditè’. To me, now, this is not just a restaurant: Cruditè is THE PLACE in Milan if you want to have your best fish dinner ever.
As suggested by the name of the restaurant, the specialty here is raw fish, with particular attention paid to shellfish. The menu, of course, includes a wide variety of mains and second courses, which changes weekly according to the season and the chef’s inspiration.
I’ll never forget my first time at Cruditè: my boyfriend took me there for my 33rd birthday. I clearly remember the feeling I felt - like I’d been catapulted into the movie set of “the Great Gatsby”! The '60s interior decoration is elegant, sober and seductive, and this fancifulness is reflected onto the dishes' composition. In fact, what truly left me speechless was the extraordinary beauty of the ‘platò’ we received: it seemed to me like we had a carnival on our table! The composition was so careful, so balanced and full of colors, it made me think of fireworks. The courtesy of the staff and the refinement of the wine cellar are the icing on the cake.
