Santa Barbara is a charming local restaurant located where one would least expect it, on the corner of St-Valliers and St. Zothique in Rosemont-La Petite Patrie's neighborhood. What a joy to discover this pretty space that makes you want to settle for a good time with the best possible company. So I tried brunch on the terrace and the cozy dinners inside. The ambience is velvety with sweet and soft lighting, the staff have a broken French accent, it's magical.
What's to eat? Mainly fine vegetarian cooking - but carnivore friendly... I guess we call it flexitarian?! Kale salad, leek fritters, sweet potato pierogi, gnocchi, fish, mussels and it is possible to find braised lamb or pork chop as meat dishes.
For brunch, Spanish tortilla, buckweat beer crepes with aged cheddar, baked or poached eggs with greens, house-made granola. A feast of flavors!
They are crazy about cocktails! For all tastes, every color, with or without alcohol, they are made with skill and are delicious... even for brunch!
Run for it!
