I'm a chocolate addict, so chocolatiers are one of my favorite places to visit, for their display, as chocolate can be seen everywhere in all shapes and sizes, and there's that amazing smell of chocolate and dried nuts.
Bonitos Chocolatier is absolutely no exception to this. This family run business with production in Greater Porto for around 30 years, supplies the three shops they own. Their selection is for sure not the most affordable one, but the quality is undoubtedly worth it. If you're around Foco, a family neighborhood in Boavista, visit this shop and let yourself get lost in it! Around festive holidays like Christmas, New Year and Easter they produce special editions that are so delicious I just can't get enough of them. In addition to their chocolate production, they also sell other Portuguese sweets like 'Régua Candies' or from abroad like 'Torrões'.
I go there whenever I want to give someone a nice chocolate box, as we can mix our favorite types of chocolate (and taste some as we choose!) or whenever I need to refill my 'better types' of chocolate box at home for visits. Hopefully they will last until someone arrives at my place, I truly intend to share (I want to believe so).
The shop looks like a chocolate box itself, with the dark green and gold on the windows and the owner is super nice and ready to help, as getting lost in all those tastes is very easy. Good luck!
