Bar Cobra is a new, hip bar in the city. Actually it’s not new and it doesn’t even look like it. Cobra took this place after the famous non-stop bar at Strossmayerovo náměstí, which is one of the main tram crossroads. Yeah, it’s always good to have a bar nearby when the tram is not coming.
The interior is designed in an old fashioned, vintage style, with a slightly dark atmosphere, exactly the atmosphere where you wanna get drunk. There is always a lot of staff, so you don’t have to be worried that you have to wait for your drink for too long.
From the menu I usually go for a classic 11 degree beer from a small local brewery. Sometimes I encourage myself to order Ale, which is more fruity and also stronger. However I believe everyone can choose his/her drink here. What about Cobra Libre?
Even though it is spacious there don’t forget to make a reservation (you can only do it till 17:00) or come early, especially in the evening (I recommend something like 18:00 or 19:00). The bar is not only opened at night, but all day long, so you can also try some lunch. There is also cinema Bio Oko right around the corner, so if you are an artsy soul, the combination of a good movie in the art cinema and afterwards a drink in Cobra sounds like a safe choice.
Hint: At night look for the flashing letter C in the "restaurace" sign on the building.
