Studio Alta is a multifunctional place with a theatre stage and movie projections, but you can also visit just to chill out in their living room.
The spot is a little bit hidden, but you just have to follow the signs on the street, go through a small, discreet entrance and follow some more signs around the garage and warehouses. No worries, you will end up at the parking lot next to it anyway, which happened to me the first time.
The reward is really cool though. If you enter the "obývák – living room", you’ll be in a hall with a high ceiling, a bar and nothing really special at first sight. Further on you will find out why it’s called a living room. Even though the space is big, it is cozy at the same time. All the furniture is old and each piece is unique. There is also a barefoot room and table tennis with all the necessary equipment so you can start a small tournament with your friends.
The menu includes everything you would expect from a café. Beer for a good price or some Czech lemonades and mate from Prager brand.
To be honest, the location is not really in the center, but if you go to the National Gallery, which is just one stop from Alta, or if you have accommodation here, it's definitely worth checking out.
